Welcome to the Purp Alert. A monthly edit of fascinating finds I discover on the internet. If it inspired me, or helped me get through the month, you'll see it here. Let's get started!
Vibrant & Pure
Over the last couple of months I've been obsessed with experimenting with new foods and recipes. In the process, I ended up discovering Vibrant & Pure by Miami based food stylist, Adeline. Through the use of vibrant holistic ingredients, she makes the most inspiring and aesthetically pleasing recipes I've ever seen. Head over to her Instagram for more rainbow creations.
Kenzo World - The New Frangrance
Kenzo always comes through with the wacky visuals and the launch of their new fragrance, Kenzo World is no different. Directed by Spike Jonze, model Margaret Qualley performs an insane dance routine in a beautiful evening gown. It's definitely not the average luxury brand ad. Make sure to watch the the electrifying short film above.
Laura Apsit Livens
Autumn's here, which means I'm back to rocking large dramatic hats and cutting my morning hair routine in half. I love the fun hand painted designs in Laura Apsit Livens latest collection, Forma. Made with a combination of rabbit fur, leather, and felt the Fall/Winter collection was inspired by Matisse paintings. Anybody have 320 euros I can borrow?
Pat McGrath Labs
Pat McGrath, the queen of of creating magical makeup looks for the runways and fashion mags has dropped the 4th installment of her makeup collection. Appropriately named Pat McGrath Labs, the newest release features deep ruby red slipper inspired glitterati lips. Shop the full collection here.
I've never been more inspired to take a stab at illustrating than when I came across Petra Eriksson's amazing work. Filled with pastel color pallets, geometric shapes, and interesting textures, her illustrations take me to another wold and make me want to just jump on my computer and create something totally new. Check out her portfolio here.
Zuza Mengham x Laboratory Perfumes
I've been watching Zuza Mengham's progression via Instagram for a while now, and I couldn't be more excited about her latest collaboration with Laboratory Perfumes. Challenged to translate five Laboratory Perfumes fragrances - Amber, Gorse, Samphire, into shapes, colors, and textures, Zuza managed to create a beautiful resin sculptures inspired by the scents.
