I've never been into the outdoors.. or really anywhere that doesn't have wifi access but lately I've been obsessed with cool nature inspired prints. In summer 2011 Stolen Girlfriend's Club's garden prints stole our soul with amazement, and now Mother Jeans is still carrying the trend through with Hawaii printed denim. And not to mention, too good to be true tumblr Sexy Sweaters creates photoshopped printed crew necks we all wish we could get our hands on. Seriously if these sweaters were real all of the my nonexistent money would be completely gone. Which totally eliminates my urge to yell "Fuck copyright laws!"cuz a girl needs to eat. So what do you guys think, are you taking the scenic route?

Lately I've been seeing a lot of pictures of Iris Apfel roaming around the web and it made me wonder how many other older women showcase extreme style just like her. So I went off on a quest (à la Google) swiftly typing in the search bar 'old people with style'. The first link I ran into was Ari Seth Cohen's fashion blog Advanced Style centered around stylish older women. I was instantly inspired by all the New York street style photos and the stories behind all the creative ladies who choose to dress up.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to fall into a slump when I get older. For some reason its odd to keep experimenting with fashion as you get older, but why? If Anna Dello Russo can be fun and daring with fashion and even a little scandalous, I think other people can take a chance too. You should never stop having fun with fashion! When I stumbled upon Zoe's blog, Girl with the Flower, I instantly fell in love. Anyone who has the ability to mix tons of textures and prints and still look pulled together is a gem in my eyes. But what really makes her outfits look amazing are her beautiful flower headbands that she hand makes herself.

New York songstress Lena Del Ray is also known to rock flower headbands adding a hint of fantasy to her looks. In her music video Born To Die, she looks absolutely breath taking in a white Antonio Berardi dresses topped of with a pale blue floral wreath. I'm not sure if this will become a real trend in 2012, but I definitely think its something to keep a look out for!

Long time, no blog! I've been really busy/lazy with the whole college thing, but hey I'm back! Here are the bed room pictures I've been meaning to post. I'm really happy how my room turned out! Even though my room is sooo tiny, I actually like it more than my old room. Yeah my room was 3 times as big and of course I miss my walk in closet, but the look of this room is way more pulled together.

Something about wearing a terribly scary animal across my body excites me. Givenchy has been killing it with their lady like looks covered in daring panthers along with their men's line with vicious dog screen tee's. The looks above are definitely less animal planet and a little bit more fierce which makes them work. My dad brought me back this weird hat from The Mall of America with cool foam tee. At first I had no idea what animal it was suppose to be but looking at the label I found out that it is a yeti. So basically it looks like a like yeti is biting my head off. Cool!

How can you not love Tom Binns?! I don't want to use the word gaudy, but the designs are definitely very over the top fun. I have specifically been in love with his neon jewel designs that almost look like candy. I found this cool DIY on Glitter N Glue, and I instantly loved the idea of getting a similar look for less! I would have probably used a more elaborate necklace with tons of detail, but I do like the overall idea.

I've currently been experimenting with tangerine lips! I used Loreal's High Intensity Pigments lip gloss in Outspoken. Surprisingly I found it at the dollar store but Ive seen it at the drug store too! Round 1 is paired with an all black outfit, while round 2 is paired with a colorful outfit. I like it both ways! Since it is a lip gloss and not a bold lipstick, its a great way to try the orange lip trend without looking over the top or clown-ish!

When I saw Who What Wear's post about unconventional collars, I knew I had to talk about the trend. I ran across the first photo on tumblr with a necklace type of collar (anybody know what editorial/lookbook its from or who the collar is made by) and I stumbled across Eleven Objects detachable collars with cool embellishments and textures. I love how The Man Repeller wore an Eleven Objects collar with a million different patterns. Normally I would hate an outfit with so much going on, but somehow it still looks so cohesive and the collar just pulls everything together. Plus by know you should know that The Man Repeller can do no wrong in my book since I mention her so much! Anyways, I just love easily you can mix and match the collars with daily outfits. H&M needs to make some asap! Are you guys loving the Miu Miu-esque trend?!

I died when I first saw the makeup for Vivienne Westwood's Fall 2011 collection. I wouldn't be surprised if she used this picture of Ke$ha as inspiration since the models faces literally look like they were dipped in glitter! The most glitter you will see me in is when I wear my Victoria Secret's Liquid Glitter Liner but other than a I keep it pretty simple! But if you want to go for a a piled on glitter look I would go for something similar to the look shown on Kate Moss. I like it because its more subtle (not smeared all over her face) but still bold enough to make a statement!

Don't theses photos make you want to go some place warm! Sure beats all the coldness I'm facing right now, which is why I'm so excited to be going to California with my school in a couple of weeks! The only bad thing about it is the major dress code rules (the benefit of going to a private christian school), which means I wont be able to wear my short shorts! Yes I devoted an entire post to Andrej Pejic walking in Jeremy Scott's Fashion show, he deserves it! Sure beats posting the Same NYFW photos that are practically on every blog right now, BORING! Anyways his beauty amazes me. His ability to model women's clothing along with menswear is truly unique, he definitely has been blessed with the gift of androgyny. He's like a male Paris Hilton, but more talented and relevant...BURN! Okay I'm going to stop now. But in all seriousness Andrej has the ability to make you look beyond gender, but for true beauty. He's one of a kind.

A Walk Downtown

What I'm wearing: Rachel Roy Dress, random tights, Pony boot by Deena and Ozzy from Urban Outfitters, H&M fedora and bag

My dad took these photos of me downtown a couple of weeks ago, and I've been meaning to post them ever since! It was pretty hard taking off my jacket in the freezing weather to take these photos, but It was totally worth it! The dress I wore is by Rachel Roy and it's a bit daring for me since pretty much everything I wear is oversized. It's nice to wear something once in awhile that actually fits. Of course I paired it with my go to items of the moment: fringe bag, fedora, and pony boots!

Lately I have been obsessed with Maroon 5! I used to listen to their first album all the time in middle school, and now I'M HOOKED again! All of their albums have been on repeat non stop around my house. Adam Levine's voice is so beautiful, its hard not to fall in love with ~~this band~~ him!

ps. It's my dad's birthday, YAY!

BAD TO THE BONE

I'm Currently drooling over Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière Cut out boots! I love how Nina Dobrev from The Vampire Diaries was styled with them. A Valentino lacy top and shorts layered with an oversized sweater was genius! They look pretty cool barefoot but I think them paired with a colorful pair of socks would be pretty hot too! I bet The Man Repeller (love her blog) would even recommend a printed pair of stockings!

My other obsession has been this Jesus Saves Cut off tee by UNIF. It's been on my list of wants for a while now and I wanted it even more once it popped up on the new arrival list on Nasty Gal. The only problem is that its $68, which is really expensive for a hole-y thin t-shirt. But now it doesn't even matter since it completely SOLD OUT today! I guess my next pay check plans are ruined!

Taking a tip from L'Wren Scott's spring 2011 runway show I decided to try a colorful part! The first time I saw the trend was on Hanneli Mustaparta's post HEADLINE. I just new I had to try it once I saw it in the January issue of Elle magazine and on my favorite talk show host Wendy Williams. I parted my hair down the middle, put lotion on my part as a primer, and picked a hot pink eye out of the palette my sister let me borrow and simply dabbed it along my part! What do you guys think about the colorful part trend? LOVE IT OR HATE IT!?

My Spring Inspiration Board

Remember an older post called My Inspiration Book? Well I'm back showing you my new inspiration board for spring! I know what your thinking, "How could you be thinking about spring when there was just a blizzard?" but we have to remember that all of the fall collections will be showing a week from now and we must stay on top of our game! For me, this spring is all about color blocking, pops of neon, skittle color hair, bright lips, faux furs, and almost anything Jil Sander and Prada. Prada's spring video campaign is one of the best I have ever seen! There's not many videos that have the ability to make yourself feel like the best dancer in the world ....well at least compared to models in stripes and banana prints! ENJOY :)

Don't you just love these pictures. There haunting and beautiful all at the same time. Lately I've been wearing tons of Maybelline gel eye liner. I need to lay off though because I hardly wear any make up and I don't want to turn into one of those girl that look like there auditioning for RuPauls Drag Race! What I really like about this eyeliner is that it gives you a dramatic look for only $7, Its definitely worth a try! Too bad freckles aren't for sale!

As you all probably know, all the cool kids (aka top fashion bloggers) were in Florence last week and I'm sooo jealous! They attended the Firenze4Ever event and even styled looks for Luisa Via Roma. Both Andy from Style Scrapbook and Carolina from Fashion Squad chose florescent orange bottoms by Jil Sander and bright pink sandals by Casadei! Even Chanel Iman and Freja Beha have recently been styled in the brights. It's definitely fun to see some color during these dark dreary winter days! SUMMER COME BACK!

Sorry for the non-outfit post. My dad hasn't felt like taking any pictures of me lately so I guess its time for me to get my self timer working and start posing in front of wall. Boring! I like that there fun without being out of control and I can definitely see them adding a punch to many outfits. Peering over my computer screen, my dad basically said they were hideous but I absolutely love them plus everyone knows to never dress for a man! If you haven't already noticed the pair of shoes in the first photo are fakes! Krystal from This Time Tomorrow created her own. She took a pair of suede shoes from F21 and glued a small strip of black faux fur along the heel to achieve the horse mane look. What designer shoes are you dying to get your hands on!?

Anyways The Man Repeller posted the most amazing DIY today! She took a H&M cocktail dress and turned it into an amazing gown by adding long flowy chiffon to the bottom. Definitely something I am willing to try to achieve the look of a glamorous gown! Thoughts?

What I wore: Thrited Kasper Blazer,Oxford and Regent silk tank from JCPenny, Satin pants from Express, Ozzy and Denna Pony boot, H&M faux fur wrap, Forever 21 necklace, random ring

When I finally decided what outfit I was going to wear today to take pictures, I realized that it looks a lot like the outfit Kanye West wore to the premiere of his short film Runaway. Just like Kanye, I wore an all black outfit made up of different textures. All together I had on silk, satin, faux fur, calf hair and my personal favorite old cheap polyester! The textures in our all black ensembles make it interesting, and not boring like an all black outfit would seem. Rather you like him or not you have to admit that Kanye does have great style and I think its only destiny that we have similar fashion sense. I even had a dream that he told me to call him when I was 18! I think this either means that I will get married to Kanye West or my dream of being the Kanye West of the fashion industry is going to come true. Either way I'll be one lucky girl!

Fall has always been my favorite season. I love colors of the trees, and not to mention the fashion possibilities are endless. I dodged the trick-or-treaters Halloween weekend to take pictures at the park of the changing leaves, and of course my outfit! My favorite thing to buy for fall are boots! I got the brown booties above for only $30 which is amazing since they retail for $110.

Sorry for my long drawn out absence. My time management has been horrible, but what can you do? It's called life! I hope you guys are having a great weekend and I hope to check out all of your blogs.

These photos make me regret not buying the fur coat I saw a month ago at the thrift. When I originally went it only costs $20 but when I went back a week a go they tagged it for $60. Just think, I could of had had a real black and white rabbit fur jacket for only $20. What makes this editorial special is that it has a great mix of styles.Its like a crazy marriage or rock, bohemian, western, and baroque! I will definitely be on the hunt for crystal necklaces, velvet pants, cowboy hats and vintage furs this fall!

Did yo guy watch the film Runaway directed by Kanye West last night? Well you know I did, seeing that I have been obsessed with Kanye since he first came out! Lets just say this film was quite interesting, creative and will definitely make other artist have to step up their game up, and not to mention it got me sooooo excited for his album to drop! ~~Since stupid YouTube wont let me post the whole thing because it was flagged, here's a clip from the film below!~~

Going through one of my family closets I found my Moms old suede jacket. I seriously fell in love! Something about all the fringe made me want to shimmy like Tina Turner! Along with this jacket I found 3 other jackets all covered of fringe. I swear my mom had use to have a major obsession or something! I topped it off with my moms cowboy hat from Texas and I was ready to go. I took these pictures at a dog walking park with the lens my dad bought me today. I had a lot of fun getting all dressed up to take these pictures even though I though I might die of heat stroke! My advice to you is to go through your parents closets! I mean, its like going to your own personal thrift shop. You never know what you will find!

I was completely amazed when I saw the hairstyling for Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection. These looks definitely gave the term 'hair weave' a new meaning.

Here's how they did it:

Palau divided models’ hair into three sections before adding extensions over and under natural strands for a woven effect, ending each panel in a skinny braid. Back panels were folded flat against the head and pinned in place before the entire head was sprayed with Redken’s Forceful 23 hair spray—and lots of it

Looking at my blog, I noticed that I haven't made a post with tons of color in a long time. I've been posting a lot of neutrals lately. By putting these pictures together it made me realize how much I've missed seeing a huge burst of color smeared across my blog.

Sorry for the lack of post (especially outfit posts), hopefully this weekend I can get out and take some pictures. And guess What! I finally have a phone! I know what your thinking, how could a cool kid like me not have a phone! Its been the question I've been asking my whole life, but now that I've had one for a couple a weeks its made life easier. And now I even have a Twitter (I have no idea how to use it yet, i haven't even tweeted once!) which is perfect since I seriously need way to connect to you guys other than through comments.

Remember how during NYFW I told you I would do a top ten post of mt favorite collections? Well screw that! Honestly I have been anxiously waiting for Paris Fashion Week so I could see what Balmain would come up with this for this spring. Of course I got my craving for distressed items, and studded everything, but I was kind of disappointed to not even see one dress in the line up. Christophe said he wanted this collection to be more day wear and boyish. Most critics are saying that this collection is too DIY, since each piece is completed with safety pins, rips and tears, and even staples. I think those little details just makes it even better for me, because lord knows Balmain's clothing is no where near my price range. What do you guys think of the collection?!

Just Throw It In The Bag

These pictures make me want to save every paycheck I receive just to buy one fabulous bag by Rebecca Minkoff. But lets be serious, It would take way to long for me to raise the funds so I think I will stick to browsing in Marshall's trying to find the perfect designer bag for the low. These pictures are phenomenal to say the least, I mean the lighting alone is amazing. My favorite bag out of the bunch would probably have to be the leather clutch with fringe and second in line would have to be the carmel bucket bag in the first photo! What bag is your favorite?!

PS. Today was the first day of fall! What did you guys wear?!
