Neijah Lanae is a singer/songwriter residing in Los Angela's. I created 2 single covers for her techno up-beat remix of her song "Do You".
Isael X - Prescription
I created this single cover for Chicago rapper, Isael X. The perfect imagery for a smooth smokers anthem.
Arcade Fire “Porno” Magazine Cover Ever since Arcade Fire dropped Reflektor this fall its been on repeat non stop. My favorite song off the album is Porno. The song explores male immaturity, female sexuality, and how males are portrayed in this day and age. The man in this song feels as if there is something wrong with him because he see’s the woman he desires as more than just a sexual object, she’s more than a “porno”. Wanting to experiment more with layout, I decided to make a mock magazine cover inspired by the song. The lyrics were used as a design element to make the magazine cover look like the real deal.
Vintage Revival Vintage Revival creates one of a kind home decor items that breathe new life into salvaged pieces. Each item brought in is designed to add creativity and style in to their customer’s spaces in eco friendly ways in order to preserve the history of each piece.
As a promotional piece, I created booklet for potential customers and interior designers. This includes an overview of products and services that are offered, along with a glimpse of previous pieces that Vintage Revival has created.
Sir & Madame
Sir & Madame is a Men’s & Women’s Boutique and Lifestyle brand, spawned from the Husband & Wife team, Brian and Autumn Merritt . The offerings are a full representation of the couple- no filler. Inspired by all things vintage, the couple strives to build their brand around “Classic with a Twist”.
I am currently working for Sir & Madame to not only provide excellent customer service through product knowledge and overall brand experience, but to provide marketing/operational support. Tasks are not limed to:
- Graphic Design - Photography - Image Manipulation - Blogging - Upkeep of Website - Updating Social Media Outlets - Entering Inventory
Putting thoughts and emotions in visual form, I experiment with different design techniques to create a feast for the eyes and new perspective for the mind.
Exploration with type to create imagery for all the random thoughts that float inside my head.
Card Ending in 6869 Amazed by all the random things I purchase, I decided to collect and photograph all of the receipts that end up balled up in my pocket/purse at the end of each day. Each receipt almost forms its own origami, really putting my obsessive buying habits into perspective.
Out of boredom and my love for fashion, my career in blogging began in high school. My blog highlighted everything from daily outfits, photography, to "open diary" personal posts. During my 4-year blogging stint, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing brands, create content for Second City Style, get a published feature in Glitter Magazine, and even snagged a gracious shout out from top fashion blogger, Rumi Neely.
Though I'm no longer a "serious" blogger, you can still keep up to date with all of my current obsessions here.
Quincy Jones With so many competitors in his field, Quincy wanted a business card that would set him a part but still have a clean professional feel. I decided to make a not so traditional black & white business card with the illusion of texture and bold typography.
Khallee Standberry-Lewis I created a psychedelic feel for R&B singer/songwriter Khallee by creating a dizzying affect with a portait photo I snapped myself. I added in a blue illuminating light in order to create a look as smooth and trippy as his sound.
Carmen Henry Wanting to highlight Blogger/Fashion Stylist Carmen Henry's playful edgy style I contrasted her black and white portrait with a stream of bright pink and designed a fun geometric logo.
personal photographs of the people who inspire me and the places I've traveled.
